A movement repeated for several hours daily–a gesture that invokes folding forward into rest, doubling over in pain, or practicing prostrations. Through repetition and duration I rediscover my own edges, lingering in the gaps and spaces between my perceived and felt limits.
The gallery transformed over course of the exhibit. Bengali folk music accompanied me as I moved, along with footage of a collaboration with my mother. Drawings, photos, and material studies lined the space, along with physical therapy mats, resistance bands, and discarded installation materials.
