Siyona Ravi (b. Bangalore, India) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles, California. Their work spans performance, installation, and drawing and explores the erotics of care, and how political and spiritual transformations are negotiated within our bodies. Their work is informed by deep collaborations with advocates and organizers through the Center for Urban Pedagogy, as well as ongoing studies in caste abolition, disability theory, and haptic bodywork.

Their work has been shown and aired across the US, most recently with Staple Goods Gallery in New Orleans, LA and Lower Grand Radio in Oakland, CA. They’ve performed with American Artist, and at the REDCAT Theatre in Los Angeles. They’ve held fellowships with the Laundromat Project and No Longer Empty, and their writing has been published through the Pulitzer Center and SFMOMA’s Open Space. They received a BA in Visual Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MFA in Art from CalArts.

Siyona currently collaborates with artists through SOURCE Studio, an artist-led studio founded by artist Mel Chin. For several years they led community-engaged design and advocacy collaborations with the Center for Urban Pedagogy in Brooklyn, NY.
